General Cancellation Policy
Each rate booked at Artel Apartments is subject to a cancellation policy. Please ensure you read and review the rate and conditions associated with your reservation at the time of booking.
Where cancellations are made in accordance with the cancellation policy of the rate booked, no cancellation fee will be applied and any deposit paid will be returned.
All cancellations must be made in the time zone of the property (AEST/AEDT, Melbourne, Australia) to avoid a cancellation fee.
No-Shows
Failure to check in on your reserved arrival date will be treated as a no-show and will incur a penalty charge as detailed in the cancellation policy of the rate booked.
Early Check-Out
Early termination of your booking after check-in will result in a 100% cancellation fee. You will be required to pay Artel Apartments the full amount of your booking, less any amount already paid.
Cancellations Outside Policy
Cancellations that fall outside the parameters of the cancellation policy noted in the rate plan will incur either one night's accommodation charge or a 100% cancellation fee. You will be required to pay the full amount of your booking, less any amount already paid.
Cancellations made after the expressed cancellation cut-off time, or no-shows, will be charged to the credit card used to guarantee your booking. The cancellation fee is equal to one night's accommodation.
Any reservation not cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy will automatically be charged to the credit card provided for security and confirmation, or deducted from the reservation deposit.
Non-Refundable Rates
A non-refundable rate is non-refundable. If you cancel a non-refundable booking at any time after it is made, no refund of the funds paid will be provided.
Peak Season and Special Events
Cancellation of peak season or special event bookings will be subject to the individual terms and conditions of the rate booked.
Reservation Modifications and Cancellations by Artel Apartments
We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a guest has provided an invalid credit card, engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity, or the reservation contains or resulted from a mistake or error.
We also reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings that do not adhere to our Terms and Conditions. In such cases, Artel Apartments has no obligation to guarantee new available bookings or best rates. A new booking at the best available rate will need to be made by the guest at the time of the new reservation.
Credit Card Charges
Any cancellation fees payable will be deducted from monies paid to Artel Apartments. If insufficient funds are available, Artel Apartments may charge the credit card provided at the time of booking.
Any surcharge applied to credit cards at the time of payment will not be refunded.
Refunds
Any amount paid to Artel Apartments for your booking, including deposits, will be dealt with as stated in the terms and conditions of the rate booked.
Where applicable, the balance of any monies paid after any applicable cancellation fee has been deducted will be held by Artel Apartments as Booking Credit and may be applied to future bookings.
Booking Credit
If a Booking Credit has been issued for a cancelled or refunded booking, it may be redeemed once and will remain valid for twelve months from the date of cancellation.
Booking Credit may only be redeemed once and used to pay for accommodation at Artel Apartments, in the same currency as the original booking. It may not be split across multiple bookings. It may not be used for non-accommodation items such as minibar, car parking, laundry, or taxes not included in accommodation rates.
To redeem Booking Credit, bookings must be made via Artel Apartments by phoning 03 9454 3863.
Any stay paid for using Booking Credit must be booked and paid in full prior to the expiry of the 12-month validity period. Any Booking Credit not redeemed by the expiry date will be forfeited in its entirety.
Booking Credit is not redeemable for cash.
COVID-19 Cancellations
Booking.com
For bookings made on or after 6 April 2020, please consider the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) and associated government measures. If you have not booked a flexible rate, you may not be entitled to a refund. Your cancellation request will be handled by the property based on your selected policy and applicable consumer law. During times of uncertainty, we recommend booking an option with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can cancel free of charge until the free cancellation period expires.

Airbnb
Reservations for stays and Airbnb Experiences made after 14 March 2020 are not covered under Airbnb's extenuating circumstances policy, except where the guest or host is currently ill with COVID-19. COVID-19 related circumstances not covered include transportation disruptions and cancellations, travel advisories and restrictions, health advisories and quarantines, changes to applicable law, and other government mandates such as evacuation orders, border closures, prohibitions on short-term rentals, and shelter-in-place requirements. The host's cancellation policy will apply as usual.

Property-Specific Terms
Any Artel Apartments property may, at its absolute discretion, alter these terms and conditions for specific bookings and advise in writing the terms that will apply (e.g. group bookings or peak period reservations). These will always be outlined in the official Artel Apartments property-specific confirmation email.
