Please read these terms and conditions before booking. By making a reservation, you are deemed to have agreed to the following terms and conditions.
Confirming Bookings
All bookings are held in good faith to the arrival and departure dates listed in the reservation, at the rate specified. A valid credit card is required at the time of reservation to secure and confirm your booking. Variations may apply during peak season, special events, and blackout periods at Artel Apartments' absolute discretion.
Amendments
All amendments are subject to availability, applicable pricing, and the relevant cancellation policy of the rate and conditions associated with your booking.
Amendments to non-refundable bookings are not permitted.
If amendments are requested outside the timeframes of the applicable cancellation policy, you may be charged a 100% cancellation fee in addition to the cost of your amended booking. Any reduction in the amount payable will be at Artel Apartments' absolute discretion.
Check-In
Check-in time is from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please contact the property beforehand if you require a late check-in.
Upon arrival, each guest is required to sign a standard Artel Apartments Registration Form and acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions therein. You may request a copy of the Registration Form you signed at any time during your check-in or stay.
As part of the registration process, you will be required to provide current photographic identification and a valid credit card for a $100 pre-authorisation.
You agree that a charge may apply if your required check-in time requires the room to be kept empty on the previous day. If you wish to guarantee check-in prior to 3:00 PM, you must book and pay for an additional night's stay at the applicable rate.
You must advise us of any change in the number of persons using the room and agree to pay any additional charges for persons not included in the number stated at the time of registration.
Photographic Identification
Current valid photographic identification is required at the time of check-in. Your identification will be scanned and retained as part of the registration process and held securely in accordance with the Privacy Act.
Acceptable forms of photographic identification:
- Current valid driver's licence
- Current valid Australian passport
- Government-issued proof of identity card
- Current valid international passport
If you are unable to provide acceptable identification, your reservation may be cancelled and you may be liable to pay the full reservation amount plus any other costs incurred in connection with your reservation.
Payment
Full accommodation payment is required as per the terms and conditions of the rate booked, as stated at the time of booking. Non-refundable reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Please note: a 1.5% surcharge applies to all credit and debit card transactions (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX).
If the rate terms state "Payment at Property", payment in full is required at the time of check-in.
Pre-Authorisation (Security Deposit)
A pre-authorisation of $100.00 AUD is required upon check-in on a valid credit card. The pre-authorisation process validates your credit card and protects both the cardholder and merchant from fraud.
A pre-authorisation on your credit card will affect your credit limit (credit card) or available funds/spending limit (debit card). This holding amount will be used upon departure to finalise any incidental items, including but not limited to telephone charges, security bond or deposit for breakages or damage, or cleaning charges in excess of normal levels during your stay.
This authorisation may also be used to settle any outstanding payments owed in relation to your booking, including the balance should you vacate the premises prior to your scheduled check-out date.
Once a pre-authorisation has been made, Artel Apartments cannot release, remove, or lower the authorised amount until the final amount is processed upon departure. This is a restriction imposed by the card issuer and cannot be negotiated.
Please note: the pre-authorised amount is set aside by the card issuer (your financial institution) for a period of 7 to 28 business days from the date of departure. Artel Apartments is not responsible for the length of time it takes your financial institution to release these funds. For more information, please contact your card issuer. Cash bonds are not accepted in place of a pre-authorisation.
This transaction constitutes an electronic transaction and a binding agreement under which the guest authorises the property to debit the credit card as stated above. A written signature is not required for authorisation purposes.
Check-Out
Check-out time is 10:00 AM on your scheduled departure date unless otherwise agreed. If you wish to check out later than the standard time, prior approval must be obtained at least 24 hours before your scheduled check-out. Late check-out requests are subject to availability and at the absolute discretion of property management.
Failure to obtain prior approval or failure to check out by 10:00 AM will result in a charge equivalent to the full daily rate applicable to your booking.
You are personally liable to pay the total amount due on departure unless prior settlement arrangements have been accepted. If settlement arrangements have not been met within 30 days of departure, you agree to pay the total amount due upon receipt of our invoice.
You must return the key and/or security card at the time of departure and agree to pay a replacement charge for any keys lost or not returned.
Early Check-Out
Artel Apartments reserves the right to charge an early departure fee if you depart earlier than your original departure date.
General
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia. If any part or all of any clause is illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, it will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure it is not illegal, invalid, or unenforceable. If that is not possible, it will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue to have full force and effect.
Nothing in these terms and conditions affects any rights you may have that by law cannot be excluded, including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and under State and Territory consumer protection legislation.
To the extent permitted by law, Artel Apartments is not liable for omissions, errors, or changes to the facilities and services at a property, whether temporary or permanent. Accommodation facilities listed may not apply to all room types.
